Synthesis TEST

Greetings, my dear saplings.

There will be a SYNTHESIS TEST on 22 March 2007, Thursday.

Now, what is synthesis? It means to combine two or more sentences into ONE sentence. For example:

He is a big boy. He is very strong. He is on the football team.

Being _____________________________________________.

Answer:
Being a big boy who is strong, he is on the football team.
or
Being a big, strong boy, he is on the football team.

Welcome to the First Day of Term Two

Greetings, my dear saplings..

Tomorrow's going to be our first day of Term Two and it is my wish that it is the start of a better term for all of you. Put on your best behaviour, attitude and zest. Just a reminder of the following:

1. English Commit Programme only starts on 26 March 2007, Monday. So there is no commit tomorrow.
2. English homework. Those of you who have not completed yours will have to stay back and finish all of them tomorrow. I'm not Ms Wati the Cruel if I don't make you finish your debt to me.
3. GIRO Forms for 'O' Level. Please.. Please.. Please remember to bring them tomorrow and hand in to me. Don't let me shed any more tears and look older than I already am.
